Nail Care

DSC_0492Lets talk about nail care baby! Every Sunday evening I lock myself away and have a wonderful pamper session. One of the many things I end up doing is taking care of my Nails. I used to blow off this step and found my hands looked rough. They were dry and just gross looking. Now that I have this little routine down they look wonderful and healthy.

Step 1: Brush Nails Clean

I always use a little soap and this brush to make sure my hands are fully clean before working on them. The Brush also helps get away dirt, grime and dead skin.

Step 2: Cut Nails

I hardly ever do this since my nails break but if something needs a little snip I will use a pair of nail clippers.

Step 3: Cuticle Remover

I love removing my cuticles haha. I apply a little bit of this Sally Hansen Instant Cuticle Remover to my cuticles on each nail. This is a sorta gel like texture that takes about 15 seconds to help remove/soften the cuticle.

Step 4: Trim Baby Trim!

Any left over cuticle or skin that needs to be removed I will go in with a pair of cuticle removers or these little wooden sticks. I found these guys recently in Target and love them! One end is a cuticle pusher and the other is a file!

Step 5: Hydrate

If I am not putting on any nail polish I will go in with some cuticle oil. I love Essie’s Apricot Cuticle Oil! This stuff smells amazing and is amazingly hydrating!

What products do you use for nail care?

  1. Great post – love the picture 🙂 I’ve just begun to give my nails some much needed TLC! What are the benefits of removing your cuticles? I’ve never done anything to mine apart from push them down with those sticks!x
